Los Alamos
The Los Alamos County Nuisance Code taxes my time, patience, and peace of mind.
The draft nuisance code also taxes me financially for sidewalk repair, home/motor vehicle repair (motor vehicle covers), and transporting undesirable materials to the Los Alamos Ecostation. There is no one in Los Alamos County municipal government who represents my views.
The basic structure of the draft Nuisance Code remains unchanged. A sentence may have changed. A pronoun or adverb may have changed. However, the basic structure of the Nuisance Code remains unchanged.
The Stamp Act was passed by British Parliament around May 1765. The American public – particularly Bostonians – were outraged. In response, John Adams wrote, “The source of our suffering has been our ‘timidity.” (reference). Adams wrote, “Let us dare to read, speak, think, and write.” Adams wrote, “There must be ‘no taxation without representation.’”
The response (independent of what Adams wrote) was mob action by Americans. “Adams was repelled by such an ‘atrocious violation of the peace.’” (reference).
British Parliament repealed the Stamp Act in 1766.
Do I need to say anything about the Tea Tax and how Bostonians responded?
