NJROTC News:
The Los Alamos High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) traveled Saturday, Sept. 24 to Albuquerque High School to compete in a military skills meet.
Team awards included 1st place in unarmed regulation drill and 2nd place in female color guard. The female PT team also placed first overall in the 800-meter run and crunches and took second place overall in the flexed arm hang.
Individual awards went to Arthur Yarotski with first place in drill, first place in the female 800-meter run went to Rebecca Moss, and Jaceena Hornberger came in second place for female crunches.
Topper Company Commanding Officer C/LCDR Emma Drake said, “With all the hard work and time that our teams have put in since the beginning of the year, they’ve come a long way to compete in this past weekend’s drill meet and place in several of their respective events. I couldn’t be more proud of all the cadets for the efforts they put in.”
