DFA News:
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) Local Government Division (LGD) has announced that funds are available through the Matching Grants appropriated by the Legislature and approved by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.
These funds will provide local governments with funds to match federal grants.
Under House Bill 2, $1 million was secured to provide matching funds to local and tribal governments across the state. Applicants seeking funding must demonstrate that they have submitted a federal grant application and that matching funds are required. They must show that 100 percent of total project financing costs will be secured with the addition of the matching funds.
LGD will host a pre-application webinar to provide information to all local and tribal governments interested in applying for the grant, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, via Microsoft Teams. Click here to register for the webinar. *The webinar will be recorded and available on the DFA website for future viewing.
“The Matching Grant is a wonderful opportunity for local and tribal governments to secure the funding they need to complete important projects across the state,” DFA Secretary Debbie Romero said.
“These funds are an excellent resource to maximize grant funding opportunities in support of our local and tribal governments in addressing their respective community needs,” Local Government Division Director Donnie Quintana said.
Applications for the grant open at 8 a.m., Monday, Oct. 10 and the deadline to apply is 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28.
