RPNM News:

ALBUQUERQUE— The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) is saddened to learn that former New Mexico State Rep. William “Bill” Gray passed away this Friday morning. He was 81.

Gray served Chaves, Eddy and Otero counties in District 54 in the New Mexico House of Representatives 2007-2014. Gray was a champion of fiscal responsibility, energy and agriculture and served District 54 with distinction.

RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce issued the following statement:

“My heartfelt condolences go out to Bill’s family and friends. I knew Bill well. He was a good friend and an advocate for the oil and gas industry. He was a legislator who led when he needed to lead and stood for integrity in the Roundhouse. He will be sorely missed.”

House Republican Leader Jim Townsend, who replaced Gray in District 54 when he decided not to seek reelection, provided the following statement:

“Bill was a longtime friend and mentor. He and his family are in our prayers. Words cannot express the impact Bill made in our community, the state and in our lives. Paula and I extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family.”
