Los Alamos MainStreet News:

The annual Los Alamos MainStreet Holiday Lights Parade, with a “There’s Gnome Place Like Home” theme, took place Saturday evening along Central Avenue.

Judges included UNM-LA Chancellor Mike Holtzclaw, PEEC Marketing Manager Teianna Mitchell and Los Alamos County Councilor Keith Lepsch. The trio judged 29 entries from local businesses and organizations on their effort, creativity and theme portrayal. Donavan Price from Enterprise Bank & Trust served as parade announcer.

Parade Winners:

Judges gave top honors to the DMR Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing. A depiction of Gnomes in their winter forest home, complete with Mushroom Houses was a delight to all. The bubbles in particular were an added element that enchanted thousands of viewers.

Second place was awarded to New Beginnings Fellowship with their “Gnome place like Home” themed float.

Los Alamos Medical Center took third with a Wizard of Oz theme that included Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Los Alamos MainStreet would like to extend a sincere thanks to the 2022 WinterFest sponsor, Los Alamos County, as well as our judges and announcer.
