Los Alamos Family Council Blue Bucks Promotion Ends This Coming Saturday!

Did you see how busy we’ve been!? Our 60th year of serving the Los Alamos community has been a busy one for sure.

Here are some highlight numbers to show what we‘ve been doing so far this year:

Nearly 6,000 appointments at the Counseling Center;
Nearly 10,000 visits at the Youth Activity Centers;
453 clients at the Counseling Center; and
292 members at the Youth Activity Centers.

These next few weeks are critical for helping to meet our fundraising goals.

This year we still need to raise $62,000 to support the Counseling Center and the Youth Activity Centers. You can help us with this goal today.

What‘s this Blue Bucks Promotion?

Each year, Enterprise Bank & Trust sponsors the community Blue Bucks Promotion through the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce. All purchases, including copayments for services, donations, and snacks and snack bar cards at the Youth Activity Centers, are eligible for Blue Bucks.

How does it work?

Purchases (and donations) up to $25 are given a Blue Buck ticket. Purchases (and donations) of every $25 increment after that are also given a ticket;
Purchases (and donations) must be made between Nov. 25 and Dec. 10;
Tickets are returned to the Chamber of Commerce for their drawing Dec. 12; and
Three winning tickets will be drawn Dec. 13. The first will $1,000, the second $500, and the third $250. The business that issued the winning ticket will also win $1,000!

All donations made to LAFC between Nov. 25 and Dec. 10 will have tickets generated for the promotion drawing. We just need your phone number – so if you haven’t provided that, you can update your information here.

We‘re also raising money to build our endowment. The endowment is held by Los Alamos Community Foundation. The proceeds of the endowment support our programs in perpetuity. We have a goal of raising $1.5M in the endowment to provide annual support of 5 percent of our annual budget through the proceeds.
