COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Environmental Services and the Environmental Sustainability Board invites the community to participate Saturday, April 29 in the 20-Year Anniversary of Clean Up Los Alamos Day.

Volunteers are encouraged to pick a location around the community to clean and make it beautiful. Locations can range from a favorite park, walking trail or around the neighborhood.

Trash bags and gloves will be provided for participants who register online. Participants who register may stop by Environmental Services to pick up their trash bags and gloves starting Wednesday April 26, 2023.

To participate, register online here. Individuals and groups must sign a waiver of liability, scan and email it back to solidwaste@lacnm.us or bring the waiver to Environmental Services.

Waivers will be emailed to participants upon registration.

Residents will receive free disposal at the Eco Station and Overlook Convenience Center Saturday, April 29, 2023, by showing proof of Los Alamos County residency.

“Join us in our effort to make Los Alamos environmentally and eco-friendly by collecting litter and beautifying our community. Additionally, volunteers will receive a participation gift at the Environmental Services Scale Saturday April 29, 2023, as a thank you.”
