Members of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos gathered Saturday for Clean Up Los Alamos Day to ready the Los Alamos High School Memorial Garden for spring. Efforts included raking, weeding, clearing and cleaning. The Memorial Garden was dedicated in December 2012 as a joint project between Rotary and Los Alamos Public Schools (LAHS). It commemorates those students who passed away during their enrollment in LAHS. As part of Clean Up Los Alamos Day, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos work on the Rotary Treehouse at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Together they stained the treehouse, collected trash, cleaned the sandpit, and washed the treehouse interior.
