FLAP News:
Friends of Los Alamos Pride (FLAP) announces that this year marks the sixth Los Alamos Pride Week (June 11-17) and fourth in-person Pride Festival. The festival is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday, June 16. The festival will take place on the lawn in Central Park Square (adjacent to Boese Bros. and the Y Express).
LGBTQ+ affirming organizations are invited to join in celebrating the Los Alamos LGBTQ+ community by hosting a free information booth to talk about what their organization has to offer the community. Those hosting a booth are encouraged to have some sort of fun activity or giveaway at the booth. The Pride Festival is very family friendly, so kids’ activities are very welcome.
Those hosting a booth should bring their own table and chairs. E-Z Up type awnings are welcome, but bring weights to secure it. No stakes are allowed. Festival organizers will help with other needs – email flaplosalamos@gmail.com.
