Tony Borek Is Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

ACRR News:

Tony Borek was the top predictor in the weekly Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) pace race held Tuesday on Rendija Road with a 19 second differential off his predicted time. 

Other accurate predictors were: 

  • Adrian Medin, 12, at 42 seconds off as well as the best finisher in the the 1 mile distance with a time of 7:14;
  • Anders Medin, 13, with a 72 second difference;
  • Jan Velechovsky at 93 seconds off; and 
  • Priscila Rosa with a 97 second differential and the top female finisher in the 1 mile race recording a 9:59.

In the 3 mile race Paul Geimer was the best finisher with a time of 22:41 and the top female was Adrienne Hetrick recording a 27:19.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 at Overlook Park in White Rock. 

There will be 1 mile paved and a 1 mile and 3 mile trail run. The paved course will be out and back to the Overlook Point. The trail runs will go to the Blue Dot trailhead and the White Rock Canyon Rim Trail out and back. The start and finish will be at the Overlook Playground on Overlook Road. This will provide plenty of parking, bathrooms, shade and a playground.
