Daily Postcard: Friendly Red-tailed Hawk Visits Valley Farm

Daily Postcard: A friendly Red-tailed Hawk visits a farm in the valley Friday spending several hours perched on the porch and walking around the property. It did not seem concerned by the presence of people around the farm. The oldest known wild Red-tailed Hawk recorded was at least 30 years, 8 months old when it was found in Michigan in 2011, the same state where it had been banded in 1981. Source: allaboutbirds.org.
