Will Fisher Is Top Predictor & Best 5K Pace Race Finisher

ACRR News:

Will Fisher was the best predictor as well as top 5K finisher in the Atomic City Road Runner’s (ACRR) race held Tuesday in Quemazon with a 15 second differential from his predicted time and a finish time of 23:10. 

Other accurate predictors were: 

  • Jan Velechovsky at 16 seconds off;
  • Anders Medin, 13, and father Zach Medin tied at a 36 second difference;
  • Eri Kardoulaki with a 48 second differential as well as the best female finisher in the 1 mile distance with a time of 11:04; and
  • Paul Geimer with a 59 second difference.

Adrian Medin, 12, was the top finisher in the 1 mile race at 7:31.

In the 5K distance, Adrienne Hetrick was the first female finisher recording a 32:43.

There will be no pace race Tuesday, July 4 because of the Fourth of July holiday. 

The next scheduled race will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument, which is approximately 1.6 miles on the right on N.M. 4, east after taking a left from the junction of N.M. 4 and N.M. 501 (West Jemez Road) ( known as The Back Gate). 

1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

Another reminder will be sent out in the interim period between July 4 and July 8.
