Los Alamos Public Schools Board Member Sondra Wyman files for District 5 this afternoon in the Municipal Building. Wyman was appointed to fill a vacancy on the school board in January and said she decided to run for the seat because ‘I would like to continue on the board.’ Wyman explained the board is working on a strategic plan for the school district and she would like to continue reviewing the new school year calendar. She added that she is serving on several committees including the audit, budget and finance committee as well as the policy review committee. ‘…I can make a difference, support our kids, and our families and our educators … I think we have an amazing school district and I would like to be a part of overseeing that,’ Wyman said.
