LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) responded to gun shots fired around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West Road and West Jemez Road.

Centerra-Los Alamos security guards responded to the area and secured an adult male subject armed with a firearm who was suffering from a crisis.

Los Alamos Police responded a short time later and secured the male subject who was identified as Cody Adams, 24, of Los Alamos. He was transported to Los Alamos Medical Center for evaluation and care.

LAPD will be filing criminal charges for Negligent Use of a Deadly Weapon and Open Container.
