The photograph of Jet the rooster taken by Liddie Martinez won a ribbon and won the official Española Valley Arts Festival (EVAF) Poster Contest Friday night on the Española Plaza, 706 E. Bond St.
Friday night’s event also celebrated artists who ribboned across many categories including Traditional New Mexican Art, Mixed Media, Fiber Arts, woodcarving, jewelry, pottery and more.
Martinez has a booth at the festival today and is available to sign posters that are purchased at the festival. She will also have a selection of blank greeting cards with her photo features that include New Mexico scenes and landscapes.
The EVAF is being held at the Española Plaza, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday and will have local musicians and dance groups performing throughout the festival. Food trucks will be on hand and many local artists will have booths to display and sell their work.
