After some unexpected project delays including the COVID-19 pandemic, homes are finally going up and are now for sale at Arkansas Place on the former Black Hole property, Rutherford Homes spokesperson Doug Turner told the Los Alamos Daily Post during a phone call Friday.
The last structure on the property was demolished in June 2022.
“Since then, all our infrastructure has been completed and the first five homes are under construction,” Turner said, adding that the first home should be completed this month and sales have now opened.
“The entire project consists of 44 homes (located off Diamond and Arkansas), has a private park for residents and I think will have some of the best views of the city,” he said. “These are high-end homes (2,600 sf, 3br, 3.5 bath and two car garage) built for high energy efficiency.”
Each home features a top floor deck or enclosed office “to enjoy the breathtaking views”, Turner said.
Homes are now available in the $800,000s depending on custom finishes and features.
