Sean Thomas Had Perfect Prediction In Final Atomic City Road Runners Weekly Pace Race Of 2023 Season

ACRR News:

Sean Thomas had a perfect prediction in the final Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race of the 2023 season held on the Canyon Rim Trail.

Thomas predicted 24:00 and finished in that time.

Other accurate predictors were:

  • Zach Medin with a 1 second differential;
  • Felix Candia at 6 seconds off;
  • Roxana Candia recording a 10 second difference; and
  • Lynn Bjorklund with a 14 second differential as well as the best female finisher in the 3 mile distance at 23:46.

On the 1 mile course Jesse Woodroffe was the top finisher with a time of 8:12 and the first female finisher was Denise Robertson at 13:02.

The best finisher in the 3 mile distance was Paul Geimer with months old Iris Geimer recording a 18:57.

The next race will open the 50th season at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Canyon Rim Trailhead on East Road (N.M. 502) across from the Co-operative Market.

1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.
