The PTO for Barranca Mesa Elementary School is hosting their annual Trick-or-Trot 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Barranca Mesa Elementary School, 57 Loma Del Escolar.
The 1 Miler starts at 9 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Wear your best costume and join in the most fun event of the Halloween season! Monsters of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate. Choose the distance that works best for you and your family. There will be a “Monster Mash” dance party for all runners and spectators after the running ends. It will include dancing, an award ceremony and prize drawing. Monsters of all fitness levels and ages are welcome to participate. Make your kids earn their candy!!
Registration:
- Adults with a shirt $35
- Kids 5-12 years with a shirt $20
- Adults no shirt $20
- Kids no shirt $10
Register at www.barrancapto.org/trickortrot. Packet pickup will be the morning of the event, beginning at 8 a.m. Same-day registration will be available.
There will be medals for the top 3 finishers in the following categories: Men, Women, Boys, Girls, and Best Costume. The top three fastest boys and girls in the 1 Mile race will also receive medals. All racers who finish will be put in a drawing for some exciting prizes! This is going to be a really fun run!!
The course will begin and finish at the bus loop at Barranca Mesa Elementary, 57 Loma del Escolar in Los Alamos. Runners will proceed from the bus loop down Camino Encantado, then back up and head East on Barranca Road. They’ll loop down Los Pueblos and back up Navajo and then return to the school.
