SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Opera (SFO) announces VolunteerPalooza, a collaborative Arts & Culture Volunteer Fair with eight other esteemed non-profit organizations in Santa Fe. The event is 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at Meow Wolf’s “Rainbow Rainbow” Community Arts Space at 1352 Rufina Circle in Santa Fe.
Other participating organizations include the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, Santa Fe Botanical Garden, Performance Santa Fe, Paseo Pottery, International Folk Art Market, Santa Fe International Film Festival, Los Golondrinas and Santa Fe Playhouse.
In addition to information on local arts and culture volunteer opportunities, the event will feature interactive activities from each organization including a Santa Fe Opera props and costumes photobooth, a clay workshop from Paseo Pottery, a plant identification class with Santa Fe Botanical Garden and live music from Performance Santa Fe.
“Volunteerism strengthens the bonds between organizations and the communities they serve,” SFO Volunteer Liaison Marissa Aurora said. “At the Santa Fe Opera, I strive to build a culture where volunteerism is valued as an integral part of the company and a vital component of achieving our mission.”
