Council Updates County Manager Finalists List As One Candidate Withdraws … Community Invited To Meet Remaining Two Candidates Thursday Dec. 7 At Los Alamos Nature Center

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Council received notification on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from County Manager finalist Gretchen Cassini of her decision to withdraw from consideration for the position.

As such, Council has confirmed the shortlist of candidates for the County Manager position moving forward are:

Tracey Jerome, Senior Deputy City Manager for the City of El Paso, Texas; and
Anne Laurent, Deputy County Manager for Los Alamos County, New Mexico.

Finalists will meet with the public at a meet-and-greet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Los Alamos Nature Center, 2600 Canyon Road.

Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the candidates in a casual setting. Light refreshments will be served.

The search for a new County Manager began in September after current County Manager Steven Lynne announced his plans to retire in March 2024 after dedicating 28 years of service to the community.
