NWS News:
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque (NWS) forecasts a potent winter storm will race east across the region through Monday bringing snow, blowing snow, strong to damaging winds and frigid temperatures.
The most significant impacts will be across northeast New Mexico where the forecast combination of strong to damaging winds and snow have prompted the issuance of a rare Blizzard Warning. Blizzard conditions may make it south to I-40 east of Santa Rosa on Monday.

- Life threatening travel conditions across northeast New Mexico due to blizzard conditions including dangerous cross winds.
- Power outages likely. Hazardous/dangerous travel conditions across south central New Mexico, particularly near the South Central Mountains, due to the combination of snow, blowing snow and strong crosswinds.
- Power outages possible. Hazardous travel conditions across much of north central and western New Mexico, especially near the Continental Divide, due to snow and blowing snow.
- Frigid cold conditions given strong winds across a majority of the area, with Wind Chill values in the single digits to negative single digits across northern and western New Mexico.
