The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) closed out 2023 making the state safer by making significant arrests and issuing thousands of traffic citations.
During December New Mexico State Police officers across the state made the following:
- 584 Arrests
- 121 Felony Arrests
- 296 Misdemeanor Arrests
- 167 DWI Arrests
- 12,267 Traffic Citations were issued.
- 9,230 Commercial Motor Vehicles were inspected.
“Keeping our communities and roadways safe is one of the New Mexico State Police’s top priorities,” NMSP Chief Troy Weisler said. “As we welcome 2024, we will continue to offer the same dedication, commitment, and high level of service the citizens of New Mexico have come to expect from us.”
