In these cold wintery times, some great news about the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is here to cheer us all up!
In 2023, after several years of concert attendance growth and huge regional economic impacts under Sancre Productions’ corporate sponsorship model, Los Alamos County brought on board some incredible data tracking tools to find out just how many attendees the 2023 concerts drew.
“We are proud to announce that 88,500 concert-goers came to enjoy Los Alamos and Ashley Pond for the 15 summer concerts in 2023 each Friday evening, with Billy Bob Thornton and the Blue Ventures drawing 11,500 and 8,500 respectively as our largest concerts,” Sancre Productions CEO Pablo Irlando-Wildman said. “Further, our 2023 Los Alamos 4th of July Spectacular in White Rock starring an internationally touring Queen Cover Band drew an additional, and mind-boggling, 11,500 attendees with the help of the Kiwanians Fireworks Display; totaling 100,000 attendees for Sancre Productions and Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) events.”
One-third of all attendees came from the proverbial “off the hill” surrounding communities.
“Congratulations Los Alamos, we have the best free concert series in the state!” Irlando-Wildman said.
You Spoke, We Listened
In addition to the awesome tracking technology, the Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) conducted a season-long digital community survey which yielded some fascinating results.
The survey explored likes and dislikes of our community’s concert series musical genres and asked for band suggestions. However, they were able to deduce that there were many attendees who due to family or other reasons wished the Friday night concerts to be shorter in length and have the headliner come on earlier in the evening.
Based on this feedback, Sancre Productions and CSD have decided that we will still begin the concerts at the same time, but with a few tweaks:
2024 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series New Time Format
6 PM – Announcements and Anthem
6:15 PM – ‘Entertainment’
(A new feature which will include our communities and regions’ brightest stars from a house DJ (DJ Optimistic) playing the concert night’s genre, from acoustic performers to magicians, to comedians, to dancers, to talent shows, etc.
7 PM – Headliner
9 PM – End of Show
The 2024 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series will run every Friday from May 24th to August 30th, 2024, we have a great line-up that will be revealed over the next several months as we find corporate and community sponsors to help fund these awesome events. All of the same amenities from food trucks to Boese Brothers Brew Pub alcohol sales as well as the after-party at the American Legion will still be in effect.

The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is significantly funded through Los Alamos County and the time and energy of several different departments including Parks and Recreation, Traffic and Transportation, and of course the Los Alamos Community Services Department. HOWEVER, New Mexico Businesses take our series over the top. Sponsorships for individual concert nights, in-kind and combined sponsorships are open for the taking on a first come first serve basis and they are going fast.
