CCL News:
Leadership of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) New Mexico State Chapter are hosting a suite of public events in northern New Mexico.
These events are all open to the public and will afford New Mexicans the opportunity to learn more about CCL, meet some of its local and regional leaders, and make connections to support their growth as climate advocates. Santa Fe events:
- 6-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31: CCL Mountain West Regional Coordinator Bill Barron presents “Introduction to Climate Advocacy with Citizens’ Climate Lobby” at the Santa Fe Public Library Southside Branch (view the event description here).
Los Alamos events:
- 3:15-4:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1: Leaders from the CCL New Mexico State Chapter and the Los Alamos High School Eco Club host a beginning climate advocacy workshop for teens at the Los Alamos Teen Center (view the event flier here).
- 12-1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2: Leaders from the CCL New Mexico State Chapter host a social hour for Los Alamosans to meet each other and write a postcard to their members of Congress at Bathtub Row (163 Central Park Square) (view the event flier here).
- 6-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2: CCL Mountain West Regional Coordinator Bill Barron presents “Introduction to Climate Advocacy with Citizens’ Climate Lobby” at the Los Alamos Unitarian Church (view the event flier here).
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a national nonprofit organization with local chapters across the country. The group has been the primary catalyst for the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act and other effective federal policies to reduce carbon pollution and combat the climate crisis.
