Los Alamos Arts Council Offers Two Concerts In February

LAAC News:

Los Alamos Arts Council will present two concerts in February. Classically Celtic will be the first monthly Daytime Performance of 2024, noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 7 at Fuller Lodge.

Classically Celtic, which will feature Sopranos Kathleen Manson and Josephine Stacek, accompanied by Riko Higuma, is a performance of vocal and piano music from well-known composers Benjamin Britten, Mendelssohn, and more. Featuring beloved pieces from the Celtic repertoire, the artists add a classical twist to such songs as “She Moved through the Fair”, “Down By the Sally Gardens” and “The Kerry Dance”.

The second concert is 7-9 p.m., Feb. 16 at Fuller Lodge. This a Los Alamos Arts Council fundraiser and “teaser” concert featuring fan favorites Coro de Camara as they highlight songs sure to make the audience want to get up and dance. Proceeds from ticket sales for this concert will benefit the Coro de Camara season, as well as the Los Alamos Arts Council musical programming throughout the year. There will be light refreshments. Tickets are available online, or at the door while supplies last.
