REIA-NM To Host Electrify New Mexico Conference

ENM News:

ALBUQUERQUE — The Renewable Energy Industries Association of New Mexico (REIA-NM) will host a one-day Electrify New Mexico conference Thursday, April 4 at the Sid Cutter Pilots Pavilion at Balloon Fiesta Park.

The event will bring together New Mexico business leaders, renewable energy thought leaders, elected officials, local government representatives, policy analysts and other subject matter experts to help New Mexico leverage the billions of dollars of federal and state incentives to support the transition to a clean energy future. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is anticipated to be the keynote speaker to discuss statewide opportunities. The Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) is the presenting sponsor of the event. The event will include breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception.

The event will feature panel discussions, keynote presentations, and a trade show to highlight new technologies, electrification best practices, and the importance of strategic partnerships in New Mexico’s renewable energy transition. State government leaders, financial thought leaders, business leaders, and national experts will offer expertise and case studies to demonstrate the economic benefits and opportunities afforded by renewable energy technologies and incentives through landmark legislation, including the $369 billion Inflation Reduction Act.

“From solar power to building electrification and to electric-powered fleets, there’s a real upshot for New Mexico to harness clean energy technologies to transform our state,” REIA-NM Jim DesJardins Executive Director said. “Electrify New Mexico will be a signature event that will share tools and best practices for participants to access critical state and federal funding to expedite New Mexico’s transition to a renewable future.”

Other sponsoring organizations include Mitsubishi Electric, ABC Supply, Sunrun, SunState Solar, Affordable Solar, and Xcel Energy.
