Meiji University Swim Team Trains At Y In Los Alamos

The Japanese swim team has spent the last three weeks around Los Alamos doing various training and site seeing the surrounding area throughout their stay; soon they will be returning to Japan.

Meiji University has been a top contender for swimming athletics, with their club winning “…the 99th All Japan Student Swimming Championships (hereinafter “Intercollegiate Competition”) held at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Koto City” in 2023. (meiji.ac.jp)

In the fall, the swim team will be competing again and The Family YMCA wishes them the best of luck and look forward to it.

For the past two years, The Family YMCA has been coordinating with the Meiji University Swim Team to provideduring the winter and continuing to assist them in their training during their off-season.

The Family YMCA wishes to thank Head Coach Hidemasa Sano, Coach Daisuke Natsuma, Trainer Daiki Hashimoto, Riku Matsuyama, Kaito Tabuchi, So Kojima, Kosei Kato, Yoshitoku Narushima, Yuta Watanabe, Rintaro Mochida and Hiroo Kawano for their time at The Y and wishes them safe travels upon their return.
