Skiesta—Pajarito Mountain’s iconic annual Spring Break celebration—returns Saturday, March 16 to Los Alamos.
The highly anticipated event will once again feature exhilarating ski races, live music from local bands, local craft beer, and a vibrant, quirky atmosphere unique to Northern New Mexico.
“Whether you’re planning a family Spring Break vacation, or you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway, Skiesta is a must-attend event,” County Economic Development Administrator Dan Ungerleider said. “With lively costumes, outdoor recreation, local craft beer, and music from New Mexico bands, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the spirit of Los Alamos.”
The festivities kick off at 9 a.m. with ski events and races, following registration. Participants will have the chance to showcase their skills on the slopes and compete for glory. As the day progresses, the mountain will come alive with the sounds of live music, creating an energizing atmosphere for dancing, celebrating, and spending time with friends.
In addition to races and music, Skiesta attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in refreshments from Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op, a local craft brewery known for exceptional brews. The Pajarito Mountain Café will also be open, offering a delectable selection of fresh food to satisfy hungry appetites. Pajarito Mountain is also offering a free $10 resort credit for anyone who purchases their lift ticket online by 11:59 p.m. the day before skiing in March. The credit can be used in Pajarito Mountain’s café or store on ski day.
