The Los Alamos Teen Center is gearing up to offer an array of exciting opportunities for local teens during Spring Break. From educational workshops to fun-filled field trips, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Free Drug Prevention Awareness Video Production Class
PAC8, in collaboration with the Los Alamos Teen Center, is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for local students. A free Drug Prevention Awareness Video Production class is 1-4 p.m. March 25-29, at the PAC8 studio.
Participants in this engaging workshop will delve into various aspects of video production, including videography, script writing, audio, lighting, and editing. Led by experienced instructors, students will learn hands-on techniques to bring their creative visions to life on screen.
The focal point of the class will be the creation of a drug prevention awareness public service announcement (PSA). Through this project, students will not only gain valuable filmmaking skills but also contribute to an important cause by raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
“This class offers a unique opportunity for students to learn and create while making a positive impact in their community,” Eli Argo, Los Alamos Teen Center Director said. “We believe in the power of media to inspire change, and we’re thrilled to empower young filmmakers to use their voices for social good.”
The class is open to students in 6th through 12th grade and is limited to the first 6 students who sign up. Thanks to the support of the Los Alamos Teen Center, participation is completely free of charge.
To reserve a spot in the Drug Prevention Awareness Video Production class, interested students can call 505.662.7228, text 505.920.5845, or email pac8@losalamos.com. Early registration is encouraged as spots are expected to fill up quickly.
