The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) will host local artists for its first gallery exhibit of 2024: Soar.
The opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Fuller Lodge Art Center. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will run through April 29 and features artists not only from Los Alamos but around Northern New Mexico.
Soar will be the first of a series of exhibits including a joint show between artists Rachel Pearson and Leslie Bucklin in May, the Second Annual Come as You Are in June, a science themed show curated by Jaquelyn Connelly in July, Plein Air Painters of New Mexico in August and the New Mexico Tapestry Guild in September.
In addition to the shows in the main gallery, artists will be featured in the Portal each month from April-October and the gift shop will rotate new artists throughout the year.
