COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County Parks Division announced that registration opens, Wednesday, May 22, for the June 14 drawing to reallocate a horse lot at the North Mesa Stables. The registration form is available on the County’s website under North Mesa Stable Reallocation Draw.
The North Mesa Stables are on public land owned by Los Alamos County. Separate stable lots are individually licensed to residents on an annual basis, but the improvements on each lot are owned by the licensee. Los Alamos County has one lot – 143 – for which improvements and the associated lot license will be made available through the random draw selection process.
All interested patrons will be required to complete a registration form and submit it no later than 5 p.m. on June 10, 2024, to be entered into the random drawing. Only Los Alamos County residents are eligible. Submit completed forms by email to parksadmin@lacnm.us or mail/drop them off at: Aquatic Center, Attn: Stable Draw, 2760 Canyon Road, Los Alamos, NM 87544. All registration forms received will be acknowledged by email with a registration number.
The drawing will occur at the Pajarito Cliffs Site / Parks Division / Building #5 at 101 Camino Entrada at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024. Registered patrons can be absent during the draw, but the chosen entry must be available to begin the process the next day. All sales paperwork and fees must be completed no later than June 28, 2024.
The lot will have a backup entry drawn in the event the first patron is unable to fulfill the agreement and paperwork within the designated timeframe.
