Meow Wolf To Host ‘Absolute Rubbish: A Trashion Show’ Showcasing Local Designers Of Recycled Fashion June 13

MEOW WOLF News:

Meow Wolf Santa Fe welcomes 22 fashion designers from New Mexico and Colorado in its inaugural “trashion” show, Absolute Rubbish – a groundbreaking event that merges high fashion with environmental consciousness.

The event takes place Saturday, June 15 in Fancy Town, the neon light-adorned, maximalist venue space in Meow Wolf Santa Fe. Cocktail hour takes place at 7 p.m. and the show starts promptly at 8 p.m. Tickets are available now. Spots are limited and the event is expected to sell out.

Designers will unveil avant-garde creations crafted from recycled materials, demonstrating the extraordinary potential of repurposed trash. With a commitment to environmental stewardship and an unabashed love of all things trashy, Meow Wolf challenges an industry that too often can be harmful to the planet.

“The Trashion Show is a testament to our commitment to fostering eco-conscious artistry and pushing the boundaries of immersive experiences,” said Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s General Manager Susan Garbett. “Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s guests will witness the transformative power of trash on the runway, as it unfolds into profound works of wearable art.”

This 18+ event is for mature, sophisticated individuals ready for a responsible and stylish night out. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the “dumpster chic” aesthetic – whether wearing recycled ruffles or thrifted tulle, the trashier, the better.
