SALA Los Alamos Event Center announces an action-packed week filled with new movie releases, an engaging Science Fest, community events and delicious pizza nights.
Here’s what to can expect:
NEW MOVIE REELS:
- A Quiet Place: Day One: Don’t miss the last day to watch this film on Thursday with showtimes at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Despicable Me 4: Continue the adventure with showtimes at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday, and 2 p.m., Sunday.
- Fly Me to the Moon: Premiering this weekend with showtimes at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.. This film will be shown with Closed Captioning.
SCIENCEFEST:
ScienceFest on Saturday featuring:
- STEMarts Activities
- VR Exploration: Explore the cosmos with Oculus headsets.
- 3D VR Painting: Unleash your creativity by creating and projecting 3D art in real-time.
- AR Sky Hunt: Embark on an augmented reality adventure to find geo-tagged space objects in the SALA lobby.
- Fractal Foundation Activities:
- Interactive Fractal Stations: Discover the beauty of fractals using computers and iPads connected to a projector in the lobby.
- Fractal Presentations: Attend captivating presentations on fractals at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
- Glowing Fractal Balloon Display and Projection Mapping: Enjoy a mesmerizing show at 8:30 p.m. featuring a glowing balloon and stunning projection mapping on the SALA building.
COMMUNITY EVENTS:
