This Mohave (correction Prairie) Rattlesnake was encountered this morning near the rodeo grounds on North Mesa. It blended in with the surroundings but the photographer spotted it. The snake eyed the photographer but didn’t appear interested or  seem to feel threatened. It appears to have 5 or 6 rattles at the end of its tail. Photo by Sally Fellers
