Daily Postcard: This mule deer doe and her fawn like to stop and rest in a secluded backyard on North Mesa. Mom tries to keep her baby hidden, making photographing the two a challenge. They first appeared in the yard late in the afternoon on July 30 and stayed until after sunset. On Aug. 7 they appeared around lunch time and stayed for approximately an hour.
