ACRR News:
Warren Scoggins was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners weekly pace race held Tuesday on Kwage Mesa Trail on North Mesa. He was 23 seconds off his predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were:
- Zeke Wilmot with a 32 second differential;
- Chris Michel recording a 60 second difference; and
- Paul Geimer at 70 seconds off as well as the top finisher in the 3 mile distance at 19:25.
On the 1 mile paved course:
- Catherine Hensley with a 96 second differential and the best finisher recording a 17:13.
On the 1 mile trail course:
- Lily Nolen, 12, was the best finisher with a time of 13:51.
In the 3 mile distance:
- Deana Tsang was the first female at 28:19.
Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, starting on Rendija Road on Barranca Mesa and can be gotten to by bearing left at the 90 degree turn on Barranca Mesa, which is the junction of San Ildefonso Road and Barranca Road by the playground park and heading down into Rendija Canyon on Rendija Road (gravel road) approximately 1.5 miles past the Los Alamos Sportsman Club with the start on the left.
1 mile gravel road and 3 mile gravel road/trail runs will be available.
