“Hispanic Heritage Month offers us a chance to recognize and celebrate the profound impact of Hispanic Americans in New Mexico and across the nation. As the first Hispanic to represent New Mexico in the U.S. Senate in more than 40 years, I feel deeply blessed to come from such a strong and resilient community. New Mexico, with the largest percentage of Hispanics of any state in the country, has long contributed to the fabric of America.

“Hispanic communities are essential to American society – contributing to every sector of the economy and all aspects of our daily lives. I am proud to represent a strong Hispanic state, and I am dedicated to building a stronger future for all of us. We are always stronger when we stand together.

“This month, let’s learn from the stories of Hispanic leaders throughout history and dedicate ourselves to unlocking opportunities for the next generation.”
