The Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club (LAARC) will be holding elections for officers in addition to normal topics at its December meeting, 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 in the Club Meeting Room upstairs at 4017 Arkansas.

This regular meeting reviews the state of amateur radio frequencies, repeaters, long distance propagation and emergency support equipment. Current and upcoming efforts to support amateur radio and emergency response services in Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico are covered as well.

There are a large number of hams in Los Alamos. Licensees and those interested in how amateur radio works are encouraged to attend the Dec. 13 meeting.
