It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Julie Banaszek, RN, from her role at Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service (LAVNS) after an incredible journey spanning 30 non-consecutive years. As executive director, I have the distinct honor of celebrating Julie’s remarkable contributions to our organization and the community we serve.

Julie joined LAVNS bringing with her a wealth of compassion, expertise, and a steadfast commitment to quality patient care. Over the years, she has touched the lives of countless patients and their families, embodying the essence of our mission to provide compassionate home health services. Her dedication has not only improved the lives of those she served but has also inspired her colleagues to strive for excellence in every aspect of their work.

Throughout her tenure, Julie has been instrumental in caring for the residents of Los Alamos and the Northern New Mexico community. Her ability to connect with patients and their families has created a legacy of trust and respect that will resonate within our community for years to come.

Julie’s unwavering positivity and dedication to the nursing profession have made her a beloved figure among her peers. She has mentored many new nurses, sharing her knowledge and fostering an environment of growth and learning. Her impact on our team and the overall culture of LAVNS is immeasurable.

As she embarks on this new chapter of her life, we want to express our deepest gratitude for Julie’s years of service and dedication. We celebrate her achievements and the profound legacy she leaves behind. While she will be missed greatly, we know that her spirit will continue to inspire us every day.
