The Los Alamos High School Toppers started off strong keeping up with the Jaguars Thursday night at Griffith Gymnasium.

The game was 5-8 in favor of Valencia going into the second quarter, and finishing the first half with a score of 17-12 with the Toppers on top.

The Toppers stayed ahead with a score of 26-23 ending the 3rd quarter.

The 4th quarter took a turn when the teams were tied for the win and Andrew Manzanares shot a 2 point basket with 12 seconds left in the game.

Valencia jaguars then took the ball and got a 3 point shot with 2.4 seconds on the clock, winning the game. The final score was 37-35 in favor of the Jaguars.
