The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) announces two upcoming events celebrating Valentine’s Day at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Whether in search of a fun night out with friends or a romantic experience under the stars, PEEC has something special in store.
Galentines Movie Night – The Devil Wears Prada
- When: 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13
- Where: Los Alamos Nature Center Planetarium, 2600 Canyon Road
- Admission: $8 per person
Celebrate your gals and pals this Galentine’s Day with a special screening of The Devil Wears Prada! Enjoy a dessert bar alongside the movie, and revel in the camaraderie of this fun holiday inspired by Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation.
- Doors open at 5:45 p.m., followed promptly at 6 p.m. with the movie.
- Limited seating is for 50 attendees, so early registration is encouraged.

About the Movie:

Spend Valentine’s Day exploring the wonders of the universe during this family-friendly, magical evening in the planetarium. Join PEEC’s Planetarium Manager, Elizabeth Watts, for a captivating guided tour of the night sky, featuring enchanting tales of constellations, famous couples in astronomy, and celestial wonders.
About the Presenter:
Elizabeth Watts brings a lifetime of passion for science and the outdoors to PEEC. With a B.S. in Physics from Birmingham-Southern College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin, she has spent decades inspiring others with her knowledge of astronomy and the natural world.
This event is suitable for ages 8 and up, making it ideal for couples, families and stargazing enthusiasts. Seating is limited, so reserve a spot today.
