The Los Alamos County Public Works Department announces the restart of scheduled construction on DP Road. The project activities ramped up this past week with material deliveries. Beginning Monday, Feb. 24, new lane closures and flagging operations will begin on DP Road to install the new force main sewer pipe infrastructure.
Motorists visiting DP Road should expect minor delays as there will be one lane road configurations. Traffic in these areas will be managed by flagging operations. Traffic control may change periodically to allow completion of scheduled work including utility connections, reconstruction of asphalt pavement from the Los Alamos Fire Academy to LANL TA-21 gate, and new concrete curb gutter and sidewalk from the Los Alamos Fire to Los Alamos CrossFit.
Final Construction is anticipated to wrap up by the end of May 2025.
“We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we undertake these necessary operations. We are pleased to bring this public works project to fruition and make needed infrastructure improvements within the community for residents and patrons to businesses,” said Engineering Project Manager Justin Gibson of Los Alamos County Public Works Department.
