DOG JOG News:

The winner of the 2025 Dog Jog logo contest is Gracie Nichols, one of the youngest winners ever. This talented Pinon fourth grader produced a clever and imaginative drawing showing a free-spirited dog enjoying nature and the great outdoors. Her drawing will be the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event and she will receive a free t-shirt featuring her artwork. The winners are chosen on the basis of artistic merit, creativity and originality.

The other young artists recognized this year include 2nd place winner, 3rd grader Miller Gauss and 3rd place for Clara Nichols and 4th place for Riley Stark. Honorable mentions go to entries from Heather Gauss, Aurora Matzke-Rubio, Hudson Ayers and Liesl Whitton, all talented 3rd graders. Thanks to all of these young artists for their talent and enthusiasm. The younger artists are encouraged to enter again in future years.

The 2025 Los Alamos Dog Jog is 9 a.m., Saturday, April 26 at Rover Park in White Rock. For more information, visit www.lafos.org. To save $5, pre-register by Sunday April 6 – send registration form and payment to Dog Jog Registrar at 155 Monte Rey S., Los Alamos, NM 87547.
