Sports News:

Los Alamos, playing at Bomber Field for the first time in the 2025 season, pounded the Demons 12-1 in the first game, then put the cherry on the sweep, earning an 11-1 victory in game two.

The two wins Wednesday gave the Hilltoppers a 9-game home win streak dating back to last season.

In the first game, the Demons (4-10) stayed within striking distance of the Hilltoppers (6-4) until the bottom of the fifth inning, when Los Alamos exploded for six runs. Los Alamos put the game away with a 2-out rally in the fifth inning.

Los Alamos likewise came through with a 6-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning of game two, closing out that victory in the minimum 4-1/2 innings of play. Kyle Evenhus pitched all five innings to earn the victory.

The Hilltoppers open District 2-4A play at home Saturday, taking on the Moriarty Pintos. Moriarty (3-7), which has struggled to slow down opposing offenses this season, opened up district play April 2 against Pojoaque Valley.
