The Makerspace also offers vocational training certified by valuable digital badges in fields such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, coding, Biolab technician skills, and woodworking.
“We are excited to officially reopen our doors to the Los Alamos community,” Dr. Prisca Tiasse, Founder and President of Los Alamos Makers. “Our goal is to create a welcoming and collaborative space where individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels can explore their technical interests, learn new skills, and connect with like-minded people. For the past 9 years, Los Alamos Makers has been one of Los Alamos’ best-kept secrets, yet a valuable asset to our community, fostering innovation and hands-on learning. Our new location downtown is an opportunity for us to come out of the closet and broaden our impact.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from representatives of the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and Los Alamos Makers, offering attendees a glimpse into the organization’s mission and future plans.
