NMSC News:

The New Mexico Supreme Court issued a nonprecedential opinion today affirming the first-degree felony murder conviction of a Raton man, David Floyd Morgan, for the fatal shooting of his neighbor, James McDowell, in April 2021.

Morgan was sentenced in 2023 to life in prison, which requires serving 30 years before the possibility of parole.
