After many years of dedicated service to the Los Alamos community, Farmers Insurance agent Bernadette Naranjo has officially retired. Farmers Insurance agent Ana Tafoya has taken over Naranjo’s agency at 935 Central Ave. Suite A.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind and honored to continue serving her clients with the same care and commitment,” Tafoya said. “As part of this transition, I’m happy to introduce myself, a licensed Farmers Insurance agent since 2015 and owner of our original agency in Chama. I’m proud to announce that we’ve expanded our agency and are now also operating from Bernadette’s former office location in Los Alamos.”

Tafoya welcomes new clients to her agency and assures them that they will continue to receive great service from the same convenient location and phone number, now with access to even more resources.

She explained that her Chama office remains open and fully staffed, and this expansion simply allows her to serve more communities with the same personalized support they’ve come to know and trust.

“My team and I are here for all your insurance needs, we specialize in Auto, Home, Life, Business Insurance and more—whether in Los Alamos or Chama or anywhere in between. Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter,” Tafoya said.

Tafoya explained that she was in the banking industry for 10 years before a Farmers Insurance district manager recruited her for the Chama Agency, which she has now operated for 10 years and is ready for this new expansion in Los Alamos.

“I love it here, I love helping people and protecting what they have worked their whole life for,” she said.

Tafoya is married and has three children. Her father, mother and sister all work at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
