NMDCA News:
Learn about past and modern perspectives of astronomy from an Indigenous point of view with Ranger Marlon at Jemez Historic Site from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Saturday, June 21. The presentation will discuss what Southwestern Indigenous people observed and believed about the world above them and how the worlds above and around them are connected and related. Sun watching will follow the presentation using solar telescopes.
Looking to the Skies is a family-friendly weekend activity. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, Friends of Coronado & Jemez members, and MNMF members.
