Children are invited to “Read with a Fish Hatchery Crew”, 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the White Rock Branch Library, 10 Sherwood Blvd.
Every Wednesday, which began in June and runs through July 23, the White Rock Branch Library is hosting its second annual “Read with a Ranger” series.
Special guests from the community – physicists and firefighters, police officers and garbage truck drivers, a nurse and a construction worker, a fish hatchery manager and an animal control officer – have been and will read picture books and lead activities focused on their areas of expertise. Some will even bring their specialized vehicles.
Children age 4 to 4th grade are invited to enjoy an afternoon getting to know more about the community and all the wonderful people who live here.
Remaining Schedule:
- July 9: Read with a Fish Hatchery Crew;
- July 16: Read with a Nurse; and
- July 23: Read with a Construction Worker.
