The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites the community to an unforgettable movie night experience as part of its Suds & Shows series. At 7 p.m., Thursday, July 24, PEEC will screen the iconic sci-fi action film The Matrix (1999) inside the Los Alamos Nature Center’s full-dome planetarium.
Attendees can enjoy craft beer or cider (21+ with ID), non-alcoholic drinks, and a relaxed, immersive setting to revisit this cult classic. Tickets are $8 per person, and a cash bar will be available. Advance tickets are recommended due to limited seating.
Released in 1999, The Matrix follows computer hacker Neo as he uncovers the truth that his world is a simulated illusion controlled by machines. With the help of rebels Morpheus and Trinity, Neo learns to bend reality, question everything, and confront the power structures keeping humanity enslaved.
With a runtime of 2 hours and 16 minutes, The Matrix offers a blend of gripping action, mind-bending visuals, and philosophical intrigue—perfect for both longtime fans and first-time viewers.
